Ninka at SICAM 2024: Waste management & storage space utilisation

As one of the leading supplier trade fairs for the furniture industry, SICAM, with its ideal dates in October, has always been a good platform for Ninkaplast from Bad Salzuflen to present product ideas to an international audience and to help shape the product ranges of the kitchen furniture industry. At the stand of the specialist for plastic moulding and surface finishing in Hall 2, the focus will be on two highlights: a combination of waste and water management and a customised storage solution.

It’s getting cramped in the sink base unit. In addition to water and drainpipes, there are now not only waste collection systems, but increasingly also water treatment systems. For the combination of both, Ninka has developed „one2eight“ for base units with an internal depth of at least 514 mm. The compact unit with its own pull-out front is mounted on the right or left side of the cabinet as well as on the base but remains independent of the hinged door. Even the largest water treatment system can fit next to it. Ninka supplies the „one2eight“ system in a set containing all components: a 17-litre and an 8-litre waste bin for dual waste separation and an optional organisation tray on the lid plate for household utensils.

Customised storage space solution

The „Qanto“ vertical lifting system, which opens up the full storage space in kitchen corners and islands, but also in living room base units, can be customised in terms of convenience and design. Two or three shelves are available as options, with the centre shelf being half the size for storing spices, for example. The lower shelf can then be used to store tall bottles. Alternatively, it can be designed as a pull-out shelf on which heavy kitchen appliances can stand securely and can be easily pulled into a position on the worktop and put directly into operation thanks to the optional integrated socket. In addition, the worktop design can be continued on an adapter plate so that the retracted „Qanto“ almost blends in with the surrounding work top. Additional features include LED interior lighting and various shelf colours. A configurator at https://ninka.zone/qanto/konfigurator.php helps with selection and ordering: It takes you to your customised „Qanto“ in nine steps.

Product range expansion with „one2nine“

New from Ninka is a classic waste bin solution for insertion behind the hinged door. When the cupboard is opened, the lid plate lifts slightly, and the bin moves to the front of the cupboard thanks to a catch attached to the door. The 17-litre waste bin has the usual Ninka quality: Robust and thick-walled, it is easy to remove from the holder and convenient to transport, even when fully loaded. With „one2nine“, Ninka is continuing the waste system terminology chronologically and expanding the range.

New waste recycling systems

Also new are 25.5-litre waste bins, which can be used both in combination with the „one2five“ and „one2six“ hanging frame systems in 40 cm base units, offering a total volume of 51 litres. In 60 cm base units, such a large container supplements the triple configuration with a 42- and an 8-litre container, enabling triple separation to a total of 75.5 litres.

The two suspended frame systems are compatible with standard frame systems and can be integrated into the kitchen fittings as listed standard cabinets. Ninka also offers a suspended waste bin solution for shallow installation depths of just 486 mm.

In order to prepare the waste collection systems directly for installation, the manufacturer has developed complete sets. One of these sets also includes a push-to-open mechanism.
